Children’s Bible Classes
Children’s Bible classes are led by at least 2 KidSafe volunteers and include age-appropriate Bible lessons, activities, crafts, play and more. Westover uses Gospel Light Sunday school curriculum. Just check your child in at the WestoverKids front desk (in the lobby beneath the big boat) and one of our volunteers will direct you to the proper classroom.

Children’s Worship
Children’s worship is led by at least 2 KidSafe volunteers and feature age-appropriate praise and worship singing, prayer, a lesson, and small group time. Just check your child in at the WestoverKids front desk (in the lobby beneath the big boat) and one of our volunteers with direct you to the proper classroom.

MONTHLY & SEASONAL EVENTS with WESTOVERKIDS

Noble 45: a program for Westover 4th and 5th graders. It includes monthly activities that allow our preteen kids to deepen Christ-centered relationships with each other as a launching pad for the middle and high school years.
Baby Dedication Sunday: annually in the spring during the Sunday morning church service to celebrate and pray over all the babies born in the previous year.
VIP Camp: June summer camp at Camp Hensel in Marble Falls, TX for kids who have finished 2nd through 5th grade.
Summer Service Days: We plan age-appropriate service project days for 1st through 3rd and 4th & 5th grade students to get out of their usual summer routine and help in the community.
VBS (Vacation Bible School): every summer at Westover for kids entering kindergarten through 6th grade. A themed day camp filled with lessons and activities all about God’s love.
Krazy Praizy: Tuesdays in July at Westover. Think Nickelodeon meets Sunday school, this is an interactive show that features puppets, stories, crafts, and special guests, all while teaching kids age-appropriate lessons about the love of God. Kinder Blessing: Before school starts in the fall, we like to take the opportunity on a Sunday morning during the worship service to pray over incoming kindergarten students, that they would be a light for Jesus in their school classrooms and that God would bless their educational journey ahead.
Trail of Treats: on a Saturday evening near Halloween, the Westover parking lot is transformed into a trick-or-treating adventure for the whole family. LEARN MORE →
YES, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Think back to your childhood: did a volunteer adult make a positive impact on you? Most likely the answer is yes. This is your chance to play that role in a child’s life by volunteering with WestoverKids.
As new families continue to make Westover their church home, WestoverKids keeps growing! With over 150 kids (and counting) from birth to 5th grade joining in for Bible classes and worship every Sunday morning, it takes dozens of helpers to keep these programs running with safety and excellence. We need you to volunteer! Whether it’s once a month or once a quarter, volunteering with the children’s ministry is a great way to make a positive impact on young lives, get to know families at Westover, and have a great time with other volunteers.
All WestoverKids volunteers must be certified according to Westover’s KidSafe policy. No exceptions. (In order to be KidSafe certified, you must be 6th grade or older. If you are under 6th grade and you want to volunteer with WestoverKids, you may volunteer alongside a parent who is KidSafe certified.)

We’ll call your references and complete a background check.
Attend online Ministry Safe training.
Let us know how often you would like to service. We’ll notify you via email the week before when you’re on the schedule for a coming Sunday.
