In search of heroes

Hey Westover: we need volunteers! Here are a few ways you can help make this year's Trail of Treats extra-super-amazing. Email Adam (adam@westover.org) with any questions about how you can help.

1) Help set up on Saturday, October 18th.
It's a work day! Help set up the Trail of Treats.

2) Donate candy.
We need 200 pounds total (yes, you read that right!) You can drop it in the barrel outside the children's ministry. We are hoping to have all the candy collected by Wednesday, October 22nd.
3) Bring cakes for the cake walk.
We need cakes (homemade or store bought are both fine) for the cake walk! You can bring these the day of the Trail of Treats (Oct 25th)

Wondering what to expect?

Trail of Treats kicked off in 2020 (during COVID) when trick-or-treating was out and social distancing was in. Our solution? Creating a literal trail in the parking lot where families would be assured to maintain distance while getting to enjoy trick-or-treating one stop at a time. We distributed candy and the event was a hit. Today, even though COVID is over, the trail continues and is a beloved annual community tradition, drawing families from all over Austin. Check out our front entrance themes from past years.
