Discover Westover Lunch
If you're a new or regular visitor, Discover Westover is for you! Discover Westover is a lunch that happens after the worship gathering every 4 months and is designed to welcome newcomers and regular visitors and get you informed on next steps such as Bible Classes, Care Groups, and our many ministries and service opportunities. We'll also share about what it means to become a Mission Partner (our term for membership) at Westover. This is a great chance to meet and greet other newcomers, get to know some staff and elders, and share a yummy lunch together.

Become a Mission Partner (our Word for Member)
Here at Westover, our term for member is “mission partner.” A mission partner is on board with Westover’s mission and core values and wants to work together with Westover to build God’s kingdom right here in Austin. Mission partnership means you’re done visiting and you’re ready to put down roots at Westover—to know and be known, to help out when your gifts and talents are needed, and give your time and resources to help Westover share Christ’s love with our neighbors, Austin, and the world.

Get Baptized
Baptism is a central part of a person’s conversion to Christ. Something beyond words happens in baptism that closes the door on our old life and opens the door to our new life that is filled with the Spirit of God and immersed in his grace.
Here at Westover, it's very common for a Sunday morning gathering to include a baptism as part of worship. We don't ask anyone to wait for a monthly or quarterly baptism day. If you are ready, the baptismal is always open! We love to rejoice with our friends, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, grandkids, and parents with each baptism because it is a reminder to all of us of our decision to follow Christ with our lives and the joy that brings to us and to those around us.
Get Involved in a Group
There are a lot of people at Westover! One important way to make this big church feel small is by getting involved in a Bible Class or a Care Group or both. Bible Classes are small group gatherings for study and discussion. They meet on Sunday mornings before the worship service. Care Groups are for fellowship and meet throughout the week, either in homes around Austin or at Westover.

Start Serving
One of the fastest ways to meet a lot of people at Westover is by volunteering in one of the ministry areas or with our local outreach partners. Over 100 volunteers are needed each week to help our Sunday programs run smoothly, and we could use what you bring to the table!
