Dear friends,
We hope you all have a wonderful new year. We celebrated the coming of 2003 by having the Alotau church over for dinner. It was wonderful hearing several of the men speak about their hopes for the church for 2003. Their excitement made us excited too! It's wonderful to see them forming relationships with each other and becoming a family in the truest sense. Marcus challenged each of them to find a ministry, whether it be preparing communion bread or teaching children or setting up benches on Sunday morning. They all seemed excited about the possibilities of using whatever talents they have to bring glory to God.
Thank you all so much for your prayers for us and for the people here. God is answering, if you can tell from the big smiles of our girls in the enclosed picture.
