Westover's college ministry is made up of people who don't want to play church but want to seek what it means to be an authentic follower of Christ. We have adopted the phrase "Relationship > Religion" as a mission statement. This statement in no way means religion is a bad thing. It does mean that we are going to seek a relationship with Jesus and serve others in His name over converting people to a building or a way of "doing church." Our college ministry seeks to be about community, service and finding that all consuming passion for God that will take over your entire life.

About Pungent

So why pungent? 2 Corinthians 2:15 says "For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life." This is a bold verse and we believe God calls us to live bold lives. Pungent means having a sharply strong taste or smell. Part of being an authentic follower of Christ means living a life that is pungent with the aroma of Christ. This may sound wierd but God never called us to be normal. So what does it mean for your life? Join us on the journey as week seek out what it means to be "the fragrance of life" and live pungently for Jesus. It is time for a revival, and we are starting from the ground up. It is going to look totally new and different. Come see what God will do when we let go and let Him take control.
